So it's that wonderfull time where all of us gemini's are celebrating our birthdays. This wednesday happens to be mine,. SOOO will be going to Blue Bayou water park on tuesday and would love company! On wednesday I'll be out and about drinking and carousing from early evening until sun up the next day . Thursday there will be a dinner @ Ninja sushi on Oak st. Rsvp for the ninja dinner if you can so I can let them know ahead of time how many people will be arriving. |

So things at work have been eventful, a guy that has been spreading rumors about me ( unbelieved by anyone) was suspended after he directly ignored an order from a supervisor because I was doing something he wanted to do but hadn't been cleared on then lied about his qualifications. With him not around things are alot more quiet.
I'm waiting to hear back from the guy i'm buying the katana from as the mechanic that's fixing a few things is swamped so hasn't gotten to it yet. Looks like my brother may be buying a '60 cadillac 4 -door that would match my hearse/ ambulance, so I'm really stoked about that. Classes are going alright but i've got a horrible teacher this semester in my auto courses. I'm fairly certain that I know more then him on the engine front and he talks way too much about his personal life instead fo teaching us, bores me to tears realy. Frikka, my VW GTI is up and running. I need a few tools to figure out whats going on w/ a re-ocurring engine code but she is still running strong and the gas mileage is better then my other cars. My poor Pulsar has been sitting in front of Panola house ignored but in need of so work that I don't have the space to do, like a possible engine re-build. Still looking @ garage spaces cuz with as many cars as my family has we soo need the space to store the damned things and work on them. I swear I could be kept busy all day if I had a garage just working on Parker Family and Friends cars'.
The more I delve into automechanic things and the longer I dislike my job, the greater my realization is that I really really need to go back to school for more then some mechanic training. I'm going to start looking into going back to UNO once more for engineering. With any hope I can stick with it this time. |

| Are two wheels really better then four? |

Well after much searching and a little saving i've finally found a bike. I will be picking up a ( '97 GSX600F ). The bike is in rough shape cosmeticaly but it runs cleanly, shouldn't be too hard to learn on, and parts for it are relatively common. Advice, suggestions, thoughts, offers to teach me how not to be road pizza. I do plan on taking the state motorcycle course once one is offered and then the advanced course later on. Possibly taking it out to No Problem Raceway in belle rose and take some racing lessons. I want do the same with my car so ya know which ever I can afford first. |

| A question for the mechanics out there & other comments about my VW GTI |

So I've discovered that the rims and some of the wheel bolts have become frozen. I discovered how badly frozen they were when I sheared off the head of one of the bolts. I've tried tapping the rims with a 5# mallet & a block of wood and tapping the bolts w/ the same mallet all with no luck. ![[info]](http://p-stat.livejournal.com/img/userinfo.gif) project_mayhem, I know you've faced a similar problem on a few occasions, what would you recommend so far as a penetrating oil? Tomorrow I'm gonna try WD-40, let it sit overnight and see how if that works. I'm suspecting the rim and wheel are frozen cuz of road salts since the car is from Philadelphia. Once I've got that going I'm hoping to get the serpentine belt and driver side inner tie rod done before I go to work tomorrow. On wednesday I'll be swapping in a new oil pan to replace the one I split on Dante st. coupled with an oil change followed by a compression test. If I get through all of that I'll move on to checking the a/c system and charging it if necessary. Is it weird that I'm looking forward to spending my next two days off pulling apart my poor little german car? I'll be posting later on tomorrow with pictures of the worn out parts I've replaced. |

As much as it pains me to do this I'm going to be absenting myself from the internet for the most part with the exclusion of the few websites I can access from Delta's internet, for financial reasons. I'm cancelling texting on my phone as well so those of you that I txt'ed retarded amounts please remember that after march 24th I cannot be texted with out being charged. Still feel free to call me at either my house number or cell and leaving a message here on live journal will still work but don't count on me seeing it too quickly.

| Linux, is really my savior from Windows dominiation? |

So I've had a relatively new linux distro made known to me. It's called Ubuntu. I plan on installing this little bit of O/S as soon as I get the chance. First things first burn a livecd to make sure everything works and then figure out things as I go. This will be my first real Linux experience not counting a small amount of dabbling with a livecd from a different distro. |

Well, since late November I've been working at both Delta Airlines and Whole Foods Market Wednesday through Sunday from 7am till 11 or whene ever the last flight gets in whichever is later. So far things seem cool with this work schedule provided that i cna get som maintnance issues around the house taken care of. It's hard with this schedule when i don't have a working clothes washer so that has been a bit of an annoyance. other then that i've just been working and sleeping though the brief interludes when I'm not working spent with friends have been very rewarding more so perhaps for their rarity. It's a nice feeling being able to meet all of my financial obligations for the first time in months. hopefully this routine can be maintained for the next several months and i'll have my loans paid down and money in the bank. a nice side effect of all this working is that though i'm eating a little bit more I've continued to loose weight and trim up. I must say this new slimmer me is making me feel a lot better about myself at least appearance wise. Hopefully after everything is paid off i'll be able to look into going back to school of some sort even if not UNO. So folks for those of you that missed the announcement i'm off of work Monday and tuesday so after 11 on sundays till like 8pm on tuesdays i'm free to hang out, meet up for a drink, some gaming, whatever just give a ring or txt message and i'll reply when i'm on a break. well then next flight is finaly coming in so adios. |

Hey guys I'm looking to rent a room here @ Panola house. The rent is $350/month, bills run about $140/month/person max. if you aren't a heating or cooling fanatic (that covers house phone, Dsl extreme 6.0, water, gas, and electricity), moving in is first and last months' rent and a $150 damage deposit. I have an indoor/outdoor super friendly cat. The house will have been recently re-wired for electricity, cable and ethernet and possibly have wireless set up. So if anyone is interested please let me know. Comments are screened BTW. |

Well for those of you wondering where I've been for the past week I´m in Buenos Aires! I´m having a blast and seeing the sites. For the record however next time I plan to go to a foreign country where they speak something other then english kick me if I don´t try and learn just a pinch before I leave to go there. Thank god I´ve got [Bad username: navykats/] with me otherwise I would of been up a creek. Haven´t found any dark/spooky folk yet and seeing as how I´m leaving on monday I don´t think I´ll be able to :(. It´s weird after going to barcelona a few years back I figured that the fast food and softdrinks would have more of a local flavor but as far as I´ve been able to tell things have been pretty much the same as in the states with only the most minor fo changes. One thing I do love about htis place is thqt nothing realy starts going on until around 9 am and the night life doesn´t get jumping until around midnight. Walking home from an irish pub last night I walked past an underground club right across the street from teh front door of where I´m staying, during the day you wouldn´t even think that it was anything but a closed up building. Well more sites to see and tango dancers to watch so catch you on the flip side. |

Well for those of you not In The Know, back in Febuary I went in to have some blood work to find out about my sleepyness, lack of enregy @ times, inability to lose weight no matter how balanced a diet I was on, and getting tipsy off of just 2 beers or so. Well the 1st round of testing said thyroid was a little on the underactive side but not enough to be mediated for, however something was wrong with my liverand a 2nd round of test was scheduled. The second round of testing back in March showed that my thyroid had come a little closer to normal and same with my liver but still something was wrong so a 3rd round of testing was scheduled for today and the results I got back was that my liver isn't swollen so far as the Dr. can tell but my pancreas is, my platelets are low just like in my last test, my blood is very thick comparted to most people (but nothing to worry about, just an observation), a full STD panel was run as well but came back negative for everything, then came the Dr.'s orders that I'm not supposed to drink at all until further notice. I've been scheduled to go in for a 4th round of blood work and an ultrasound in about a month so thank God for having insurance cuz I have no clue how I would of afforded all of these dr's visits. Wish me well and if you're out and wanna by me a drink Barq's, juice, water or tea would be prefered and if you seeme about to order alcohol smack me. Oh the other nice thing learned today I'm under 180 lbs for the first time in 2 years, Go me for eating healthier!!! (had to find some good news right?) That is all. BYE for now! |
